Upasana Singh is a popular actress and stand-up comedian of Indian television and Bollywood industry. She was born in Hoshiarpur, Punjab, India. Upasana got recognition by her role in deaf-mute movie  Judaai which was released in 1997. she did various Bollywood movies and Punjabi, Bhojpuri, Gujrati and  Rajasthani movies like  Babul,  Bai Chali Sasariye, Paap Ki Saza, Darr,  Badla Jatti Da,  Main Hoon Geeta, Ganga Ka Vachan, Phoolwati and many more. Upasana Singh was last seen in the Hindi feature film Chalk n Duster, which was released in 2016.

Early life:

Upasana was born and raised in  Hoshiarpur in a Panjabi family. She completed her studies from here only. Upasana wanted to become an actress since her childhood therefore after studies she started mold herself into acting. She tied a knot with an actor Neeraj Bharadwaj, who acted in many in many serials of  Doordarshan. Neeraj also acted in many Hindi and Bhojpuri films. The couple has worked together in the serial Aye Dil-e-Nadaan. Unfortunately, their marriage ended soon due to some reason. Upasana Singh is currently single is lives in Mumbai.

Personal Life:

Singh is married to actor Neeraj Bharadwaj, who has acted in many serials on Doordarshan and a few Hindi and Bhojpuri films as hero and negative too. They met and decided to get married, when working together for the serial Aye Dil-e-Nadaan.

Upasana Singh husband’s name is Neeraj Bhardwaj. Both the couples knew each other very well before marriage and even both families were also very happy with their relationship.

The wedding date of Upasana Singh and Neeraj Bhardwaj was finalized in the month of November. Both the couples tied into a knot of marriage on 15th November, 2009. On the next day of marriage, they gave the wedding reception party to all their relatives and friends. Upasana Singh wedding pics are available on the internet. Now, Upasana Singh and Neeraj Bhardwaj relationship completed 06 years and both live together in an apartment in Mumbai with their kids.


Upasana began her career in 1986 with the movie Babul which was produced under the banner of Rajashri Productions. After that, she was featured in Rajasthani film  Bai Chali Sasariye. She acted in many region movies but made her Bollywood debut in 1993 with movie darr. After that, she never looks back in her career. The movies in Upasana Singh did slapstick roles are Main Prem Ki Diwani Hoon, Mujhse Shaadi Karogi, My Friend Ganesha, Golmaal Returns, Hungama, Jawani Zindabad and others.
 She was also featured in many television serials but got huge popularity as  Bua in the TV show Comedy Nights with Kapil. Other serials in which Upasana Singh did fantastic roles are Jai Hanuman, Raja Ki Aayegi Baraat, Pari Hoon Main, Maayka, Ye Meri Life Hai, Tamanna House, Lady Inspector, Patake Tha, Dill Mill Gayye, Mrs. Kaushik Ki Paanch Bahuein, Sonpari, Bani – Ishq Da Kalma, Yeh Zindagi Hai Gulshan and many more. Recently Upasana Singh was seen in the comedy show Phir Bhi Dil Hai Hindustani which was aired on BIG MAGIC.

Upasana started his acting career as a child artist in 1986 with the Hindi film Babul.

In 1988, she got her breakthrough role in Rajasthani film Bai Chali Sasariye, which ran in theater for 100 days.

Her first salary was 10,000 (INR) from which she gifted a jewellry set to her mother.

In 1997, she was recognized with her famous deaf and dumb role in the film Judaai.

She became a household by playing the role of Pinky Bua in the famous comedy show Comedy Nights with Kapil Sharma.

Apart from Hindi films, she has also done work in Punjabi and Bhojpuri cinema.

Her husband, Neeraj Bharadwaj plays the role of Chirag Modi in Star Plus’s popular show Saath Nibhaana Saathiya.

She worked with her husband in TV serial Aye Dil-e-Nadaan.

She is a pure vegetarian.
