Kathleen Marie "Kathy" Ireland (conceived March 20, 1963) is an American model and performing artist, turned creator and business visionary.

Ireland was a supermodel in the 1990s, best known for showing up in 13 back to back Sports Illustrated bathing suit issues. In 1993, she established a brand promoting organization, kathy ireland Worldwide (kiWW), which has made her one of the wealthiest previous models on the planet. Because of her vocation as a representative, she had made a $420 million individual fortune by 2015. In 2012, $2 billion worth of items bearing her organization's image were sold.

She has stayed included with different philanthropies and non-benefit associations devoted to instruction, crisis reaction and preparing for youngsters, illness research and administration, and HIV/AIDS.

Kathy Ireland was conceived in Glendale, California, the little girl of John and Barbara Ireland.

In 1979, at sixteen years old, Kathy Ireland was explored at her secondary school by Elite Model Management.

She has showed up on covers for Vogue, Cosmopolitan, Forbes, and Mademoiselle.

As a young person, Ireland announced that a picture taker once "went too far" with her and needed her to posture topless. She didn't feel great and he didn't regard her "no." He apparently pushed her and got physical and she "decked him."

Amid Sports Illustrated bathing suit's 50th Anniversary occasion, Ireland's 1989 cover was granted "The Greatest Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Cover Of All Time" by its distributer.
